I'm Awesome
You can add an intercooler to your compressor to help lowering the temperature of the intake air so moisture condenses inside the tank. I have a homebrew monster/Frankenstein compressor from a huge pump and 7.5 HP motor on a 30 gallon tank. The pump has head unloaders and I have it set up for continuous-run operation. Anyway, it's way overkill for everything I do, except spray painting. That's the only time I fire it up.I am probably going to do one mounted to the wall by my hose reel as well as one attached to my paint gun too. I am worried about moisture getting into my paint.
I bought an intercooler from Ebay that was for a Champion compressor. It was many years ago, but around $70 or so IIRC. I've never painted a full car, but did a hood and fender for my truck in the summer and worked well. Also had my buddy over to paint a different hood using the same setup. Works well.

Plumb it between the compressor head discharge and the tank.
