Factory is little clip on thread/screw plates..I don't even know what to call them. U shaped, they slide over the edge of the steel, one...

I have a few pictures of the frame before I cleaned it up and took it to the sandblaster. You can zoom in on some of the welds.

No. There is nothing left to weld to. There is no metal anymore. You would have to support the frame and cut all of the rot out of it...
