My 91 came with a 5 blade steel fan. I had a couple 9 blade plastic fans off 262 V6 S-10 motors so I bolted one of those to my fan...

After you get it soldered right you can trim off pins 1, 2, 27 and 28 with flush cutters. Don't trim 26.

If you did it right you tied pins 1, 2, 26, 27 and 28 together. Those 5 pins are at the top of the chip denoted by the little halve...
