    Have you checked to see if the PCV vacuum port in the TB is clogged or maybe the PCV line. That would cause high IAC counts trying to compensate for PCV flow that it's not getting and the PCV rattle.

    Sounds like you got the problem diagnosed. I would be taking it back down there and having them finish the job. Yes,if it has the internal sleeve seal then it needs a vent in the yoke.

    I got an update yesterday that was stopping me from downloading .bins last night. I had to get in this thing and delete the update. Every time they update windows 10 it screws with something. It's about time for me to take this thing down to my local computer geek and have him do a tune on it.

    There should be a four letter BCC on the sticker on your ECM like ABCD. That is the broadcast code. It's also on the MEMCAL inside the ECM.

    The max for OBD1 is 255 speed,6375 revs. There is quite a lot of adjustability with the only disadvantage of not being able to direct flash,the reason I built a ribbon cable and mounted a ZIF socket to the inside of my glovebox.

    I'm guessing 98 MPH is the fuel cut off point that's burned into the chip like most of the rest. I've never looked at a 454SS .bin to see what they burned in it.

    You handy with carbs? The only carb that should sit on top of any V8 engine is a Q-jet. Edelbrock repopped them for awhile but I don't think they're building them anymore. The mid to late 70's 1700 series Q-jets are good pieces to build. I try to find the truck or van carbs.
