I need to do some more digging for a 2 ohm version. That's just after a bit of quick research on crutchfield.


Also I was getting my hardware from Sonicelectronix

Yeah. I cant recall Pioneer making a 2ohm SVC shallow sub now that I think about it.

They did at one time, apparently not anymore. You need a 2 ohm load to maximize the potential of your amp though. Cerwin Vega is pretty bad these days if you ask me. If I were you, and I wanted to keep the rest of the setup besides the sub the same, I'd be considering one of these two options.

Or possibly this one. A little more money but the dual 4 ohm voice coils could be beneficial should you decide to add another one and a bigger amp later.

I've been debating the mtx shallows for a while now. I've heard well about them. I can always trade amps or whatnot to achieve more options. I've also been keeping an eye open at JL. But I'm not trying to pay 300+ just for the sub. The mtx is the most promising for sure though.
