In need of a Audio Recommendation.

I need to do some more digging for a 2 ohm version. That's just after a bit of quick research on crutchfield.


Also I was getting my hardware from Sonicelectronix

I'll probably run it.

If you do it's only ever going to see 250W from your amp. If you think you don't have enough bass now, wait until you try that out.

Weird, they used to make both 2 and 4 ohm... Maybe that was the Premier line or something.

Yeah. I cant recall Pioneer making a 2ohm SVC shallow sub now that I think about it.

They did at one time, apparently not anymore. You need a 2 ohm load to maximize the potential of your amp though. Cerwin Vega is pretty bad these days if you ask me. If I were you, and I wanted to keep the rest of the setup besides the sub the same, I'd be considering one of these two options.

Or possibly this one. A little more money but the dual 4 ohm voice coils could be beneficial should you decide to add another one and a bigger amp later.

I've been debating the mtx shallows for a while now. I've heard well about them. I can always trade amps or whatnot to achieve more options. I've also been keeping an eye open at JL. But I'm not trying to pay 300+ just for the sub. The mtx is the most promising for sure though.
