Getting started on working to fixing my new Burb into what I want, now that my brake issue is fixed. 1995 Suburban SLE Southern Comfort Conversion, I tried looking online but I'm getting different sizes for the front and rear door speakers, what size are they exactly? Which exact radio harness do I need to use? My burb has the CD player under the radio itself, if that makes a difference. I have a headunit and subs lined up for it, just trying to replace all of the speakers as well because they're old/half blown. Pics of front and rear door speaker spots for reference

Your door speakers are going to be 6.5/6.75", front and rear. Either size should fit.

Standard head unit wiring harness adapter should be a Metra 70-1858. Don't forget to connect the turn-on signal wire from your factory amp to the remote wire on the harness, otherwise you'll get no sound from the rear door speakers. The rear door speakers run off that factory amp, the front doors and rear 4"x10"s run straight off the head unit.

Factory door speakers are 6.5 and the rear speakers above the cargo doors are 4x10. Type in your info on crutchfield and they will give you the correct harness. It’s just a basic mid 90s gm harness but I can’t remember the numbers

Thanks for that info. When looking for the harness I saw there's also an 1859 that's the same plug but comes with a separate one as well with a single red wire for AMP, I noticed you mentioned factory amp would I possibly need that one?

You have the factory speakers in your Burb?

I don't know why you would... I used the Metra part number I mentioned earlier on my Suburban. You just connect the turn on wire to the remote wire on that harness adapter, just like you would with an aftermarket amp.

Looking at the CV 4x10s as well as Planet Audio, how's the low end response? Don't need much because I'm running Sundowns with them, but still would like em to be decent on their own

Not bad. I’m running a factory head unit with two arc audio 10s.
