Wrapped up the stereo install and backup camera. While I will not say I'm impressed, for $26.99 I got my money's worth.

Did some zip tie magic on the HVAC controller, a bunch of the tabs have been broken off including one holding one of the cables in. zip tied all that so it wouldn't slide out. I'll keep an eye out for one of these next time I'm at the bone yard. Wondering out loud if a suburban model with the defrost button could be utilized to power the heated mirrors... anyone know what would be involved there? Are the relay controls built in to the unit or is there an additional module needed for that?

Back up camera is working. Powers up on reverse, all good, kind of...
Oops upside down. Not exactly great mounting options, but what do you expect, most backup cameras by themself cost more than this did with the head unit.

Fixed, sort of, with some creative zip tie work. But there is a problem for another day:

Hmm something I'd like to be able to see is missing from this picture. I will say though, the quality is better than I expected and should be totally functional, with a properly aimed camera.

So I'll either need to make something to mount it further out, or get a different camera with a wider angle. Not sure yet, but for now going to call it good. $26.99 well spent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
