No problem. Definitely make sure you'll have the top speed you're looking for before you buy anything. I made that mistake with my Monte Carlo and had to buy another set of gears and do everything over again because I had to let off the throttle before the end of a quarter mile. Lesson learned... Measure twice cut once.

Also what RPM range does 410-411 turn a 70 MPH with 275-60-15s?
I went back on 1 of my logs - at 74 MPH I'm turning 2462RPM with 275/60-15s (same as yours). So if you take RPM/MPH which is 2462/74 = 33.27 then times 130MPH =4,325 RPM - simple math, YMMV.

Also, is there that much difference in brand of gears. Prices range $100 or so.
IMHO the front of the 10 bolt housing will fail before your gears, ha ha. Here's what I bought 2 years ago and it's still going strong but, I'm not hooking up so, I have less strain on it:Big Laugh:.

Rear End Overhaul Kit ZKGM8.5 Yukon Gear Amazon $57.00
4.11 ring & Pinion ZG GM8.5-411 USA Standard Gear Amazon $145.11

Thanks, thats the kind of info, Im looking for. As for my parts, the bearings, Im going to try to get from the bearing shop across the street from our shop. They used to be the same place as us, but that part was sold off years ago, but I can still get a discount there. The truetrac, and gear set, from Summit. I have always liked Summit. Even though 3 people have said 373s I still think 410-411 will give me more bank for the buck. I am afraid going from 343s to 373s just wont make that big of a difference.

At the time I found Amazon was a little cheaper plus I get 5% cash back with my Prime card.

As I mentioned a while back, when I went from 3.42s to 4.11s I gained 3/10ths of a second in 0-60 and the 1/4 mile.

There's always the option of finding a six lug 9.5" from a C2500 and converting to the five lug 454SS axle shafts. I know the 454SS shafts will drop right in to a 2WD six lug 9.5" 14 bolt, I compared part numbers and dimensions researching this a long time ago. Never did figure out the details on the brake part interchange though.

Or just convert it to 6 lug. Just the get the front spindles from the same C2500 LD. My brother did that to his C1500 truck. Went from a 3.08 open 10 bolt to 3.73 14 BSF. With rear axle and front knuckles (including calipers and pads), ujoint adapter and u-bolts and brake fluid, it was like $450, and that included some generic 6 lug rims with bald tires the guy parting out the truck threw in the deal. He later sold his 10 bolt for like $200. I think @Supercharged111 once mentioned he broke even on his swap, LOL.

I personally like 4.10s...

Price ranges are just under $1000 for everything. I have had 7 people say do 373, not 411.
