Power steering broke or to weak for offroad tires?

The pressure valves get gunked up,, somtimes a little disassembly and cleaning works wonders. The gasket kits used to be $8-10.Don't know what they go for now, but it not a very complex process.

Gasket kit for the pump? Closer to $20, I just bought one for a reservoir swap on the Monte.

well, be awhile since I bought one. Still rather go through one before buying an aftermarket or reman unit.
