Isn't that idle a little low? That's about where my Buick 430 idles, which is lower than my truck..... I want to say 800rpm for the 454.

Pretty sure that's about where it is. Might be my tach is off. I'll hook up to the computer next time it's hot and running at low-idle. Keep in mind it drops when the trnsmission is in a driving gear during parking procedures and not in P/N where the idle would bump up slightly.

Low idle is 650 to 675 in gear.

That sounds normal idle RPM to me.

That's how many miles were on that pump. Lets see if I can get that .any out of the next one.
Pump was the issue. Now I can hold my foot on the brake at low idle and steer with one finger.
