I tried searching all over for this, but I somewhat recall someone removing the chalky/faded appearance from the 95+ interior door handle trim rings by using a heat gun. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

I've done this to chalky plastic fenders on ATV's before. It works alright. Doesn't look factory, but definitely smooths it out a bit. It just melts the plastic a little to get rid of the chalky look.

Okay good to know, I'm gonna try the passenger side tonight. If I don't like it, SEM Color Coat it is.

They really work. Some use a hair dryer and a plastic razor blade.
