I know this is a forum for the older generation, but I've got too many trucks of too many eras, so here I am.
I've got a 2003 Chevy Express van 3500, got about 220,000 miles, and I just noticed that the water pump looks to be the original. I've also noticed that every other. 6.0 and 53 I've looked at has a new water pump, so I think I should change this one preventatively.
I looked at RockAuto, and the quality ones are only $20 more than the cheap Chinese ones, but I don't want to be putting in junk, when it's going to last a year like it did on my 6.2 diesel. Then there's a few at double the price.
