I couldn't leave the #3 alone, so I ordered some new bolts and installed them. I really couldn't see anything wrong with the bolts that I removed, but the new ones torqued to the spec I am using with no drama.

Then I battled this sucker for 2 hours. I was about 10 minutes from whipping out the credit card and getting some aftermarket heads.

It was 103F yesterday. Supposed to be at least that hot today. Not getting much done.

So, the plan is to finish buttoning up the engine. Then figure out which clutch and flywheel I need, bolt up the NV3500, and tuck the engine and drivetrain away in the garage until this fall. I may wake up early one SaturdaySunday and paint it. I've always been too sloppy/hacky to have a nice looking engine, but I would like to this time.
