My Harbor Freight 5000k winch (Geo Tracker) crapped out with 1 use (not even loaded). Luckily, they replaced it the next day! I sold the tracker a couple months later. Never got any real use.
My Superwinch 9000 (Jeep) has performed flawlessly for 10+ years. It's been uncovered and stored outside from day one..... shipped to my door for $500 ... 10 years ago.
If I need another one, that will be the one I get again. No doubt!!!
It's got plenty of use .... mostly pulling other 'wheelers out and lawn maintenance... like pulling up shrubs & trees. It's also drug dead trucks up onto trailers for my buddies .. .. ..
I've even used it as a dent puller, wheel puller (lawn mower) and even to hold my Jeep's front axle in place to get home when I ripped a lower control arm mount off the front axle.
My track record with the HF winch has me gun shy of them.
