What is this?

This is on the windshield close to the roof and the rearview mirror. The wire runs under the headliner and down the passenger side front pillar and goes behind the dash. What is it? Is it something for onstar or the homelink garage door opener? Or is it for the compass?

Does not have sat radio. Just bose audio. Didn't think of that though.

My money is it has something to do with onstar, or some other aftermarket gps item.

looks like a remote start sensor most of them are on the windshield like that
