I'm putting an Auburn limited slip in my gm 8.5" (3.42 ratio) and my backlash is currently 0.015" (too wide, ), looking to get it between 0.005-0.009".
Is there a rule of thumb for how much shim I shift from the left to right to how much backlash I will reduce?
I have a shim set with 6 different thicknesses ranging between 0.0750 to 0.0905, and I don't really want to pull it apart 6 times.
