Quick question. I’m sure somewhere in this someone answered this question but I’m not all the way through yet. On an 8 lug truck what are my lift options?
I think a body lift is all you have available. Or toss a solid axle under the front.

2" lift spindles do not exist. You can install a coil spacer up front or buy 2" lift springs from someone like Rough Country. Don't half ass it by installing spring clamps backwards, that's just dumb. A coil spring compressor and a jack is all it takes. Don't get me wrong, it's sketchy as f*ck, but that's how you do it. That, or a 2" body lift and a 2" drop shackle in the rear. Gives you the same effect.Been reading page after page here looking for ideas. I tried the 2" spacers to lift the front of my 1500, did not go well installing. Nothing but trouble, gave up after a few hours.
My dad was telling me how he raised the front of his old Pontiac, using spring clamps flipped backwards. Just seems a bit sketchy to me.
I've already put 2" blocks in the rear and like the height difference there, but don't want to feel like I'm driving downhill all the time anymore. Any advice on how to raise the front to compensate? Don't want a 4" lift but I can't find a 2" lift spindle(I know that's the proper way to go).
What and where are these magical extended control arms y'all speak of? I've had my truck lifted, broke, and in process of rebuilding the upper control arms as I've since snapped them. Looked over a year now and have yet to find an extended control arm.I did buy extended brake lines, because I saw something about that. I'm unsure about the ball joint spacer - I'm seeing 1", 1 1/2", and 2" heights. Which one would be appropriate for a 3" coil spring spacer?
I agree the new control arm would be best option, however it's $550 plus $230 shipping to Hawaii, and that's not in the budget right now. So I'll try the ball joint spacers
