G80 Conversion/Swap

Easiest/simplest way is just swap over to a G80 carrier. Eaton makes the G80 LSD. Either buy a brand new LSD or find a good used one . :shrug:

You'll still need to have the know-how to set the gear mesh correctly - which won't be too hard since you won't need to mess with pinion depth, just the side-to-side adjustment of the carrier. iirc, the 14b sf/ff uses adjustable pieces (the technical name escapes me at the moment) in the housing so you don't need to mess around with shims for the carrier bearings. You may need to find someone to press on the carrier bearings(if going with new), though.

A truck with a both rear wheels always under power and going at the same speed does not make for a good daily driver... unless you're on straight roads.

Imo, Jeeps should stick to mall crawling. :)
