Dumb thought: turn the air cleaner lid upside down leaving everything else alone. Maybe it’ll make the sound you’re after.

I tried the ol lid flip and while I preferred the sound, and it did seem to have more top end power, it made the filter collect dust easier and just kinda looks trashy.

If you’re wanting to make cheap power with a TBI truck do the air cleaner lid flip, add a TB spacer, a larger injector pod, and put a chip in the computer.

It’s been a minute since I’ve messed with the TBI stuff but it’s the fuel injector unit inside the TB.
Oh, OK. You're saying to get bigger injectors instead of just increasing fuel pressure? If you take a standard 61LB/Hr injector @ 13PSI, you'll get 71.8LB/Hr @ 18 PSI. If you use a 28LB spring from a 94 - 95 7.4L Throttle Body you'll get 89.5LB/Hr. Double that, since you have 2 injectors, we're talking 179LB/Hr.
