I'm not using the intake valve covers or timing cover so I'm not worriedLooks like you have a steady hand too No runs or overspray anywhere, lol
I pulled the air horn apart and it's actually pretty clean. The carb was sitting outside though. Air horn gasket was swelled float looks new. While that carb can surely work, it is not the style I like to use myself. I like the newer ones with added screws on the front of the airhorn. They resist warping as easily and have an APT lean stop that is externally adjustable.
The factory engine in my 1500 van was a 4-bolt. That is also a nodular crank. A bit stronger than the standard cast units. It likely has a single roller timing chain as well. The bad part is it probably has a single angle valve job on those heads.Hi y'all back again. Some of parts got here, including my oil pan seal. Pulled the pan on the vortec motor and BEHOLD. 4 bolt main. I'd say this motor was worth the 500 at 116181 miles. I didn't know that truck was a 3500 though.
