So how about a poll.

Chrome bumpers or go painted. Rear bumper if painted would be shaved so no plastic step on top.

Just tucked in and completely smooth?

If you're going for utility then keep the chrome 100%

If you're going for show, color match. I'd love to see it color matched all around. I've considered doing the same. But the factory chrome finish is going to be so much more forgiving

IF I decided chrome what about a gmt800 or 900 rear bumper


Both are taller bumpers, aren't they? Which would hang down lower than a 400 bumper, so that may/may not be an issue. I like the idea of the step in the bumper corners.

Your thinking about the 14+ models which the step is cool but those things are so flimsy

But the ones Im thinking is the 99-06 or 06-13. One reason is easier to find one of those in good shape vs a 400 bumper.
And second reason to be different.....again
