The engine it self will fit but, like was previously stated every thing that bolts to the engine is questionable. Save the accessories from the '89 and bolt them to the donor engine.

Well lets see how it goes. Good news is also the 87 tbi i bought comes with everything accessories as well as harness

^^^This. Just looking at the pictures it's obvious your vacuum lines, modules, and A.I.R. pump system are arranged differently.

Guessing because of limited space on van but confirmed its same engine in other 5.7 tbi trucks
