Best seat I sat in was a 2004 Lincoln town car felt like a couch on wheels and the air suspension made it float. Rode better then a Cadillac in my opinion. And going up mountains didn't faze it that little 4.6 motor had some pep to it. I would buy another if I find a good deal.

My 86 K30 dually Silverado. That bench seat was like a comfy couch. FYI my mom's 2004 xcab sb, separate sests with the folddown consol seat combo in the center. That drivers seat cushion ws the worst, hard, no cush at all. I think the foam inserts were bad. " mom ya gotta take it in, thats not right" . oh its ok. Arrgh.

Back in the previous millennium, when Oldsmobile was a thing and they had their version of the S10 Blazer called the Bravada, I sat in one that was at that year's new car show. It was upholstered in nice black leather, and fit my younger self like a glove. I wanted to take the seats home with me... without the rest of the truck. I don't see these very often anymore, don't think they were ever really common. If I find one in the yards that still had the seats in it, I'll have to check them out, see if they still fit!

The square body high back bucket seats are pretty comfortable; several of our Burbs had them already and we put them in the one that didn't. Factory bench was good too; my high school days saw me riding on one of those a lot. The seats in the 06 Denali are nice, and they have the integral heaters too( very nice for sore back muscles!). If I end up parting it out, the seats are going in the Burb if I can figure out how to do it. Haven't pulled up the carpet in the Burb to see what wires are there ( if the harness for the heaters is there). And I'll have to figure out how to integrate the staged switches into the earlier truck. Of course it'd be nice to have space in the shop to do all this.....

Another vote for GMT 800 cloth seats. Had an '01 with 60/40 cloth. I've driven ALOT of vehicles. They were so comfortable! They were so comfortable I had them recovered when they wore out. I have no idea why they went backward after that. Even my wife insisted on taking it on long drives and vacations.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...

I hate the leather seats in my 1999 Suburban LT (the fancy ones with seat heaters that stop working within minutes of driving off the dealer lot). Regardless of how I adjust them, they create a pressure line right below my shoulder blades that absolutely wrecks my back for days if I spend more than a couple hours sitting in them.

15 years ago, I discovered GMT400 Escalade seats. Those OG Escalades were only in production for a couple of years, and not many of them were sold because they were really just gussied-up 4-door Tahoes. But OMG those seats are a huge step up from even the fanciest Chevy/GMC seats from the era. And they bolt right in, with a matching electrical connector. I had them in our 1998 K2500 F-code diesel since 2007 and we put over 330k miles on that before we retired it.

Today I remembered that I still had those seats, and I swapped them into the Suburban that's been destroying my back. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They're supportive, comfortable and provide the perfect level of adjustment. Still can't get the seat heaters to work, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Now if only I could find a fold-down center seat that bolts in so I can have a proper armrest...

I hate leather, it's nothing but swamp ass. I'll put in my vote for the Captain's chairs we had in our 1986 G20 conversion van. Or the couch it had in the back.

These aftermarket seats, I bought new for my 88 about 8 years ago, are helluva lot more comfortable than the bench seat that was in it when I bought the truck back in '02.

I used to get a back ache after driving for a few minutes with it.

the seat heaters may have to use a module, youd need to refer to the year and application they come from

So 90s escalade
