My big compressor is an ancient unit I bought off a friend for $100. It's a solid workhorse. If you find an old compressor that runs for cheap, I'd buy it.

whats your opinion on relics of refer past?
It'd probably work as long as you can keep the oil in the crankcase and it doesn't have too much blow by or, you have a way to filter the compressed air. Is that from an old ammonia system?

wonder what the difference between ht6 and hr6
Looks like mount style, most obvious difference, anyway. HT6 has the 4 bolt holes for the Vortec bracket setup where the bolts go down on either side of the case; HR6 has them forward-facing with a flange behind the clutch. I dunno what the HR6 application is? Appears to be the same case design as the HT6, where it leaks in the middle at the case split.
