Apparently this was a factory thing on W-body GM MAF sensors... I didn't believe it at first but I looked up a video and sure enough, it was mentioned by someone else. I think the last time I saw tamper proof Torx was on a video game console.

I've got a couple of sets of bits, and I'm trying to think what has needed them. Sometimes, I end up using the tamper-proof bits just because I found them first.

We recently sold my daughter's VW Beetle TDI. The entire top of that car is held together with torx bolts because of their obviously superior quality. Once you get that top layer of bolts off it's all regular hex bolts. Torx bolts aren't superior, they're "job security" bolts.

I saw the Lisle flywheel turner for $40. The Summit Racing tool looks nearly identical for $20. If I'd seen the Lisle on Amazon for $26, I might have added it on to my Amazon order yesterday evening. Oh, well. I'll get the Summit when I place an order in the near future.

Been a while. Not much new in the way of tools but ive been working on my Grandpas old Remline since i dont need it for work now. Got the sides, back, bottom, inside (behind all the drawers) and inside the drawers sand blasted and coated them with bedliner. The front and top will keep the old patina look.

I need to buy more tools for it, figure out where i want everything, design the inserts, and print them so progress will be slow but once its finished it should be pretty damn cool. Im thinking itll end up being my road box if i ever decide to reseal my tonneau cover. Ill update when i make some more progress on it.

I paid $100 for this bead breaker a while back. It was one of those purchases where you aren't really sure if you should buy it... Today I used it to change some atv tires and it worked pretty slick. This tool along with a cordless impact made the job pretty easy.

Yes they are! And the little compartment at the top is neat too; you could put crow foot wrenches or special sockets in them.
I have my tiny wrenches for one pocket and probably some spare lug nuts for the other side. Or some random electrical roadside repair stuff. Nothing set in stone yet but this box probably wont get any crowsfoot wrenches or special sockets aside from a spark plug socket set and a lug nut socket set. I have the gearwrench bit set in the bottom drawer.

I still havent figured out exactly what is going in this yet so if anyone has some suggestions im all ears. Im 99% sure itll be my truck tool set.

Those wrench holders are pretty slick.
Thanks.
