X2... I have no experience with them personally but some things I've read would lead me to avoid TBIChips/Harris Performance.

Look up DynamicEfi to get it to run properly, I would even use a Jet stage2 chip before I would use Tbichips with his rep.

Do some research on TBIChips before you order one from them, I heard Harris has retired due to illness and have no experience with them since. I bought one from him and was disappointed with it. Hell, I'll sell you that one for $200, chip and holder as well as the .bin file, LOL.

The best way to "tune" is to data log, modify your calibration, and data log some more etc, until you are happy with it.

I'm going to custom tune it at some point. Just bought truck and am trying to get all the crap fixed on it first. I know how to tune, just not ready to do it at this time. I will contact Edelbrock and have a custom chipped burned for now. But yeah, I am excited to custom tune it. Should be really easy compared to what I am used to tuning...

Given the CARB-legal parts, why do you need a "chip burned"? Run the OEM tune, which should be good enough to use the vehicle as you sort-out all "the crap" that needs to be "fixed on it first".

When you're ready to do the custom tuning, sure, you'll gain some power.

I am going off what Edelbrock recommends for this head, Mani, cam, header combo. I am not using Edelbrock heads, using Summit Racing which were cheaper and are very similar. I would think just going to a 2.02" valve head would require more fuel. I am pretty sure it will need some tuning to run safely/correctly.

Ebl6 looks pretty cool! That looks like the way to go. No chip swapping! Any idea what it will cost for everything?
You don't want the EBL SFI-6, that's for Sequential Fuel Injection on 6 cylinder engines, you want the Flash-II for your TBI.
https://www.dynamicefi.com/EBL_Flash.php

To tune it right, you'll want a WBO2 also. I sent one of my 7747 ECMs to RBob, he converted it and sent it back to me in about a week for ~$415 with shipping IIRC, my WBO2 was ~$180. TunerPro RT is freeware with suggested contribution for modifying your calibration. His WUD (What's Up Display) can data log and flash calibrations to its 8 different banks onboard. You don't even need a cable since the EBL comes with its own USB cable, of course, you'll need a laptop too.

BTW, I have those same heads (162180), they're great for low end torque/power up to ~5200 RPM.

What Throttle Body are you going to use? The stock 42mm won't give you enough flow when getting up over ~4800RPM, the 7.4L TB won't idle very well plus, it's too big (50mm) for your 3704 manifold. You can get a bored 46mm (650 CFM) with all the "Ultimate Mods" from SPR and bore the manifold out to 48mm for better flow.

You'll want an AFPR and probably an 18 LB or higher spring. You can get the spring ordered with the TB. I don't know if he offers an AFPR but you can get it here. HTH
