Stock Fuel Pump MAX HP

Got a 92 Sierra that use to have a 4.3 with a carb 350 now and was wondering how much I could push it before I put a fuel cell in.

You can get an AC Delco EP381 from a 96 - 98 Vortec and replace the EP387 you should have in the tank. Then you'll get twice the flow and ~4 times the pressure capability. It is a direct replacement, no mods required.

I've been told the Delphi HP10001 complete assembly is the same capacity/pressure as the EP381, do you know if that's true or not?

IIRC, I remember seeing its specs and they are pretty much the same pump, who knows, they may be the same pump with different branding.

That does appear to be a complete vortec setup. I would hazard a guess that it is the same.

That's what I've been told too, 350, maybe 400hp.

I got a 96 sierra 4x4 I bought for the engine, I wonder if the tank would fit or if I could swap the entire sending unit n stuff. I know the pump was replace because they cut a hole in the box LOL
