You can get an AC Delco EP381 from a 96 - 98 Vortec and replace the EP387 you should have in the tank. Then you'll get twice the flow and ~4 times the pressure capability. It is a direct replacement, no mods required.
IIRC, I remember seeing its specs and they are pretty much the same pump, who knows, they may be the same pump with different branding.I've been told the Delphi HP10001 complete assembly is the same capacity/pressure as the EP381, do you know if that's true or not?
