I might be. I'm taking with a shop about a swap atm. The lq4 looks like it would be a Decent match for my goals. I was planning on going current gen if I couldn't find a deal. I'm keeping my 3 pedals so I wouldn't need the trans. I also don't know what it would take to use the awd stuff on my RWD Truck. You interested?
If you’re starting with a rwd truck it takes some heavy frame work and a lot of custom parts to make awd or 4wd work.I might be. I'm taking with a shop about a swap atm. Your off to a great start, looking forward to seeing the progress.I finished designing all of the suspension and started making the control arms. I don’t have much experience welding tube so some welds are better than others. The upper control arm will get braced in some way later on but I haven’t figured out exactly where the coil over is going yet so I need to do that first.
This ain’t any help but, my one and only Matco tool is a 90* die grinder I’ve had for 20 years. It’s awesome! But I’ve had good luck and experience with Astro Pneumatic air tools too.Progress has been slow recently but I got a good bit done today. The upper and lower control arms are almost done. I started tearing the front end apart. I will get some pictures up soon. To anyone it may help, I confirmed that 10-22 camaro hubs will bolt directly into a c7 spindle. Also I’m in need of a die grinder and don’t want to waste money on a piece of junk, any recommendations? Trying to keep it under $150.
