I picked up an 8.25” diff out of a suburban today. From my measurements I think it will work for the awd swap. Yes I know I need to swap out the 4wd axle shaft/tube to the awd version but I will do that later on. I need to figure out my cv situation. I grabbed one of the cvs from the burb to test fit. Since it is 33 spline and my zl1 hubs are 33 spline maybe they will work together. If the diameter is different then it will probably require custom cvs. I’m praying I don’t need custom ones, they will run me some serious $$$.

Too bad you're not in Texas, I have all the parts for six lug AWD including a 6.0/4L65E, in Dad's '06 Yukon XL Denali.....

Yeah, back in our younger days, we went to Chickasha, Oklahoma for swap meets and family reunions (Mom's people are from there). It's about the same drive time.... Last time we went, we had a new rental Charger, and made a long weekend of it.

I just did a test fit and confirmed I will be able to use suburban axles with the zl1 hubs. That saves me a lot of money not having to get custom cvs.

Got mine complete for $500 on fb marketplace, I see them on eBay all the time for around $600-$1000 but shipping would easily add a few hundred to that.

For the entire IRS swap I totaled around $1700, that includes the new rotors/hawk pads and any other supporting parts.

Being on a tight budget is how I got the idea of the camaro subframe in the first place. It ended up being cheaper than building a rearend to hold good power+brakes+suspension
