Where are you going to get a Trans rebuilt for so cheap? Around here you're looking at almost 700-900

buddy I know of expertises in 88-98 and says he'll throw in a shift kit while rebuilding it too! for around $400-500

Damn I paid $1200 for a jasper and installed my self wish I new a guy to do it for $500

Hell I'd jump on a rebuild for $1200 lol.. $2k easy with no goodies. $2500 with a shift kit and a couple upgraded doodads for sure here locally.
