H, I just picked up a new used intake. the Edelbrock 3704 TBI intake.
Someone has already opened the bores to 50mm and cleaned up the walls into the plenum.
no gasket matching or port work.

I was curious if anyone has used this intake?
has anyone ported/ gasket matched it?
And has anyone ever bored the crossflow hole in the plenum wall between the 2 "planes"?
Kind of like an X or H pipe in an exhaust system- allowing air movement between the 2 sides/planes of the intake.

I'd clean up the castings, but I wouldn't gasket match the runners. If they're a little smaller than the ports in the heads, that will prevent reversion. You especially don't want to gasket match the intake if the heads aren't gasket matched.

Open up the area below the throttle body on manifold intake? Are going to streamline it check the flow? You could be causing more stall and inefficient turbulence. Edelbrock has done the engineering, for a low performance engine, the manifold is an improvement. Matching the base to the throttle body cool. But realistically it would seem a lot of nice port matching work wouldn't be much of a gain for an engine that's not turning 5500 - 7000 RPM and needs every horse it can get. On the other hand it's what you wanna do. It's so you can know the plus and minus in ever project.
