My stock and original? Different between mine and HotWheelsBurban is mine 98 hers 99?
What plant was your Burb built in? Different plants sometimes have different parts supplies. By 99 they were really trying to get rid of the old parts stock. Makes as much sense as anything else.....

Silao, then. GM has a humongous plant complex there. But in the year between our trucks being built, they may have changed suppliers, or at least been through a batch or 2 of driveshafts. I used to know a guy who grew up in Michigan, and his whole extended family worked for OE parts suppliers. Very interesting conversations I had with him....

That's cool. And interesting I bet. I always thought same format no matter what plant built it lol . Learn something new every day

Well I like mine lol. Not like the garbage nowdays. Even if there steal I've seen brand new driveshaft rusted and look like the titanic

Both 2wd? Same transmissions and rear axles? It could be that Suburbans were getting both Dana (yours) and AAM (probably who made hers) driveshafts for the Suburbans.... especially if Silao kept making vehicles during the 98 GM strike.
