the trans kit came with a clutch, so that's what were running. I'm also trying to figure out a breather setup.

That engine could have been run with TBI and tuning to the ECM.
If you haven't done so already sell that POS Holley and get a Q-jet. Edelbrock did a good job of reproducing the Rochester Q-jet or you can get a core off evilbay and rebuild it yourself. With a WBO2 sensor, controller and whatever type of gauge you prefer you can dial that carb in to give the fuel economy and performance of MPFI.
Just enjoy the story...

if you're a purist you may want to look away its about to head in a weird direction..

its also time to get the trans tunnel cut to fit the new shifter location. I mentioned before about the shifter being in ALMOST the same location. it was defiantly not under the seat.
after a lot of measuring I now have a slightly elongated hole in the floor..

Mental checklist item, fuel guage is not working, replaced the sending unit, and filler neck, and rubber hose.

Instead of using the electronic reverse lockout on the transmission I found a company that make a spring loaded version that works pretty good.

XII....

I bought a new radiator, an aluminum Frostbite unit, because it was available. at the time we were still dealing with part shortages.

I also went with some F body E fans. I don't like these and don't necessarily recommend these. ( they are on the mental list to re-do in the near future

Dremel to the rescue, minor trimming and I had to rotate the case of the alternator so the charging lug was on top.. and we're home free.

the Edelbrock fuel pump for some reason didnt fit between the motor and frame rails after new engine mounts were installed.. so I ended up with the carter fuel pump that is good enough...
