That's not a big change, not worth the money in my opinion.
Spicer has a good calculator to figure your RPM at speed based on tire height, gear ratio, and transmission ratio at a a given speed.
Lots of others out there too.
When my 98 had 3.42s and 265/75r16s, my RPMs would sit at about 1600 doing 55mph, my 97 with 3.73s and 265/75r16s sits at about 1700-1750 doing 55. Your RPMs (going from 3.42s to 3.73s) may only go up between 100-300 more depending on your speed.
You have it easier (and cheaper!) with yours being 2wd, if you found a cheap rear end with 3.73s in it, then I'd go for it, I hated my 3.42s, but liked the mileage. I once drove my 98 (when it was a half-ton with 3.42s) four hours to get a snowmobile and it got 17mpg, my 97 only hit 14mpg tops. If you do plan to upgrade, expect fuel economy to drop a little.
