And just to add, this makes a great difference in braking. I already had all new brakes and drums, then also added the braided lines, seemed to help. Now taking this out after all that seems to made more of a difference.

i sprung a leak in the rear brake line junction (right behind the gas tank) last weekend. I'm not equipped tool-wise nor muscle-wise to drop the tank myself, so a shop is doing it for me day after tomorrow. While the line was leaking and needs replaced, i finally got around to doing this delete today. it was easy to do with the assistance of the pictures and directions in the original post...thank you sir! rep given.

i'm anxious to see/feel the difference after my trip to the shop to get my rear line replaced.

EDIT: got the rear brake line replaced today... what a difference!!!

LOVE IT!

I can confirm that this works on a 92 K2500 (4x4) RWAL WITHOUT any sort of adapter, direct fit, though some bending needs done to the rear line to keep it from hitting the inner fender well. Can anyone shed some light on the single wire to the proportioning valve? Is that the brake light sensor?

Just another confirmation that I didn't need the brake line adapter, undo two lines and connect the other one right up to it! I won't be driving my truck for a couple weeks as it's a rebuild project right now but can't wait to see how it feels. Hoping the inner fender issue isn't a big one as right now I have no fenders on it.

Also, bought the adapter off of Summit but since I won't be needing it I'll let somebody have it if they need it for theirs, just PM me!

It is the brake warning indicator and on my 98 it says "closed with uneven pressure". The 98 has 2 wires though so I can understand what circuit would be closing. I would like to know for the 1 wire what is happening. Could somebody show me an alldata diagram for the brake warning indicator light?

I just completed this on my 98 and needed no adapter as well. Really cleans up the engine bay. I wonder if certain year donor trucks need the brake adapter and certain don't?

Lastly, how much difference is there between a 1500 and 2500 proportioning valve? I used a 1500 in my 2500.
