What did you fix on your 10 bolts? Because with axles, a locker and a stud girdle it will take a lot of abuse

I had 2 g80 lockers bomb on me, one broken carrier (lead foot broke that one), and one ate a set of pinion bearings. After replacing the bearings in it, the gears hummed in it til the day i parked it, guess i ran it too far with slack in the pinion. Why would anyone spend that much on a 10 bolt when 14 bolts are fairly easy to find?

Well the g80 was your problem. And the 10 bolt isn't a bad rear end. Some people don't want to swap to the 14

His truck already has a 14 bolt he doesnt have to swap. Anf i have a feeling your gona change your tune about the 10 bolt ince you start driving your truck

Already beat on my 10 bolt. There are people in 10s with their 10 bolt. The guy that built it races with 10 bolts

Removing a perfectly good 14 bolt in favor of a 10 bolt is just asking for it if you ask me. Thats like pulling out a 350 and bolting in a 4.3 because the 350 is too strong.

Well i guess you know more about 10 bolts than me i just know ive seen plenty go out and replaced 4 myself

Yes, they can be built to stand power, but why would anyone do it when the truck already has a 14 bolt???????
