So general consensus is that it could work or could not work and I’ll have to find some cables that will?

Yep, the stock 10 bolt Ebrake cables worked for the 1993 4X4 14SF swap into my 4X4 1994 K Blazer. Just making note of the 4X4 to 4X4 axle cause there is a 2" width difference between the 4X and 2X rearend assembly incase someone didn't know that....so maybe Ebrake cable differences too....

Check what Rock auto say, just click on the part number and it will tell you the years and model compatibility. I swapped my suburban to a 14 and that's what I did. Only had to change the back two and not the front.
