It's a no-brainer.2) I have a donor that is a 92 1/2 ton with a 6 lug 14 bolt and 3.73 for $300

Thanks for the response Richard. Definitely seems like the 14 bolt is the popular opinion here. 2 quick questions: will the spring perches have to be moved, and will the driveshaft need to be shortened? The donor does not have the driveshaftCorrect. 1500 w/F44 package gets the 9.5" 14 bolt and more spring.
OP, swap that 14 bolt over, be sure grab the u-bolt saddles, and some new u-bolts. You'll need a conversion u-joint or the driveshaft from the other truck if it's same wheelbase/transmission.
Richard
Yes, but it is down to just a rolling chassis now100% 14b SF. The donor truck is also a K series right?
It's been covered on this forum a bunch including u-joint part #'s. No moving of spring perches if both trucks are gmt400's. It does need to also be from a 4x4 or the width of the overall rear end will be wrong (2WD is narrower)Thanks for the response Richard. This^^^Another vote for the 14 bolt, especially for $300.
