Amazon doesn't have much for my truck anymore in name brand parts. For my Volvos much of the time FCPEuro has the best prices, but I've also gotten a few things from IPD, Amazon, and Rockauto.

I usually price them out a few different ways. Lowest wins, sometimes it’s local parts store like 15-20% off at Advance Auto. There’s no one that’s the best.

I bought several of the AC oil filter for my trucks; even without the rebate they were way cheaper than the parts store. I try to check their website for prices/brands/availability before going to the local parts store, so I know what my options are. If the price is a lot cheaper, and it's something I can wait for, I'll get it online. If it's around the same money, I'll shop local.

Same here. Advance is where I got my gas tank and fuel pump. The gas tank was shipped free, and the fuel pump is a Denso that either Rockauto didn't have, or they were more expensive.

Advance had best price for my dual core Spectra Premium radiator.

Even with RA's shipping--including seperate shipping charges from different warehouses, they are still generally the least expensive, and sometimes they are the only ones with OEM or brands I trust......
Yup. eBay parts are too often counterfeit. If you search for a specific part number, Amazon shows you every part with the wrong part number before they show you what you need. It's waaay too easy to buy the wrong part looking on Amazon. The parts stores are typically 2-3x the price from RockAuto, even when you include shipping.

Then RockAuto puts parts on clearance and you can buy for pennies on the dollar.

Yes, there's still a lot of stuff I buy from the local O'Reilly, but if it can wait, RockAuto all the way.

I always verify fitment on multiple sites, then whoever has best deal. Often, it is Amazon, because if it’s a purchase over $25.00 you get free shipping, which usually makes them the cheapest. Plus, it’s by far the easiest and cheapest if you decide to return.

AND, if you have the Amazon Prime credit card, you get 5% off and free shipping.
