Skylark had a series of violent failures all in a row if memory serves correct, this is the 4th one I've been around and the last 3 I interacted with in person got the ever loving piss whooped out of them, they were slow but man they kept going. I just hope mine is half as decent. Or at least lasts long enough to get everything ready for a swapMan I don’t get the 6.5 hate. The one I had was rock solid, until I sold it with 225k on the odo 6 years ago… except for the bi-annual replacement of glow plugs on the first icy day of the winter, and the occasional surprise pmd failure, and the vacuum pump locking up… I had very little trouble..
3 engine failures between 79k and 124k on 3 different trucks will do that to you.Man I don’t get the 6.5 hate. I should relieve you of that nasty Optimizer engine you got for Pearl, I'd hate for you to dirty your hands messing with it, I'll even take that SSDiesel tuned ECM to cleanse your pallet of the DISGUSTING 6.5!3 engine failures between 79k and 124k on 3 different trucks will do that to you.
I'll swap straight across for a 5.9 Cummins...I should relieve you of that nasty Optimizer engine you got for Pearl, I'd hate for you to dirty your hands messing with it, I'll even take that SSDiesel tuned ECM to cleanse your pallet of the DISGUSTING 6.5!
I do have a partially disassembled 5.9L, needs machine work and an IP; hardly a trade for an Optimizer imoI'll swap straight across for a 5.9 Cummins...
