IF (big IF) the product is defective:
1. WHO pays to ship it back to them for warranty replacement or repair?

2. WHO pays to remove the engine?

3. WHO pays to disassemble the complete engine back down to long-block?

4. WHO pays for gaskets and fluids? Oil filter? Rental car while you're waiting for the replacement engine?

5. Do they pay a realistic shop rate for labor, or do they think it's 1984 and shops charge $40/hour. Do they pay for "Shop supplies" and "Environmental/Disposal Fees; bullshiit charges added by...almost every shop.

6. WHO pays for the diagnosis of the faulty engine?

7. Do you have to replace other parts before the warranty is valid? (Radiator, water pump, fuel filter, injectors, COMPUTER TUNE/RECALIBRATION, etc.)

8. Does the engine have to be installed by a professional before the warranty is valid? (If you install it yourself, do they void the warranty?)

9. WHO pays to ship the core engine back to them?

What is it? Under "Description" it says 4 bolt main while, under "Product Details" it say 2 bolt main. Not that it really matters on a 300 HP engine but, what other details are wrong?

I'm calling ********, you can't balance an engine properly without the flexplate/flywheel and balancer that is going to be part of final assembly. Any competent machine shop you go to will tell you that.

$600 core charge you pay up front until they receive a useable core in return? $1800 is+ $2400. Who pays freight on the core engine?

All of what Schurkey said. Ask for a copy of the warranty so you can read the fine print. Alot of warranties exclude self-installs.

76 cc polished heads? I doubt anything has been polished. E-920-P is an old school slow ramp $60 Elgin grind, there's better fast ramp cams out there. That cam, and don't quote me off the top of my head without looking it up, 230 @ .050 doesn't sound bad but seat to seat is close to 290. A stock ecm won't like that. No mention of pistons. Rebuilder pistons are shorter than stock. I find 9.6 extremely debatable.

generic shortblock rebuild with a cam and a bunch of marketing hype is all it is.

That’s definitely going to be on buyer.
Then come the excuses, the crank was beyond repair, won't clean up at .080 overbore, problems with the heads, no credit.

I've seen some weird stuff from rebuilder outfits. .040 under cranks, not all holes overbored to the same diameter etc. Not that you can't put an engine back in service like that. It's just not something I would tag as a precision build or high-performance.

I bought this thing a while back, i said **** it. Thinking i shouldve just got stock replacement motor but it is what it is. Im already here..
Any recommendations on intake tbi/carb and distributor?
The harris tunning guy said to go intake carb and hei distributor. But im having trouble finding the exact parts that will be best for this set up.
Its going in my 93 k1500.
Not doing anything crazy with the truck. Mostly freeway and mild 4x4 trails.
Already got an upgraded (better than stock) 4l60e to go with it with low stall.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What heads are you using? "Iron TBI heads" are not 76cc. The photo shows aluminum heads. What angle are the center two intake manifold bolt holes at?

If this is going to be a carb engine, the thread could be moved to LSX + Carb Swaps.

Have you verified the casting number on those heads? All the "TBI" heads I know of have ~64cc chambers, and the center bolts are tipped at a goofy angle making intake manifold selection/modification critical.
