I found this 383 tbi https://www.fivestarengines.com/sho...mance-tbi-balanced-crate-engine-truck-camaro/

but also found this 350 https://www.fivestarengines.com/shop/chevy-350-310-hp-high-performance-tbi-balanced-crate-engine/

both seem like good motors, but what would be better, price doesn’t matter horsepower doesn’t either, i couldn’t find a 355tbi create engine, would rather 355 the. 350

Likely 0.040 or 0.060 over already. Not a lot of OE 350 blocks kicking around now days that have not already been rebuilt once. The mass rebuilders did not do anyone any service boring all their blocks straight to 0.040 over whan most would have cleaned up at 0.010 or 0.020 over.

Boring a block is to clean up the cylinder walls for ring seal, not for power. Power is in the cam choice and cylinder head flow as well as the way the intake and exhaust breathes.

Want more power everywhere stroke it for cubes.

Whatever a 350 can do...a 383 can do better. A 396 (4.030 x 3.875" stroke) or 406 (4.155 x 3.75) can do even better. I still kick myself for not building an aftermarket Dart SHP block with 415 CID for the van. 4.125 x 3.875.

FiveStar is actually very close to me. And they have had a few threads asking about them.

I know absolutely nothing about them but I have talked to some of their employees at car shows. They are super passionate about what they do... Would you guys like if I reach out? I'm not a youtuber or anything, I just think this may be a good USA company to support... if it stands up to everybody's support???

I understand that. I would just go with a fresh 350 that can run under the TBI and leave it at that. You will find yourself quickly in a snowball of upgrades for the truck to handle the added power.

I had a stock 180 hp rated TBI 350 1-ton engine that I added nearly 50 hp to without going into the long block farther than 1.6 roller rockers. I added a 3704 Edelbrock manifold bored to 2", 1" open center TBI spacer, 454 TBI unit, 454 air cleaner and ducting, thorley tri-y headers and X-pipe to the factory catless duals.
