Is it possible that the trans cooler on the new radiator is plugged, thereby causing these symptoms?
I know nothing of how the trans would react to a plugged cooler, just a thought I had reading the thread.
Not likely - plugged coolers/lines typically starve the rear gear train causing it to eat itself in short order (ie within one drive cycle).

The main reason I provide a separate sheet to customers that screams "Flush your lines and coolers before installation!". Most are aware but some are not so reduces risk for me and the customer.
