I'm sure this has been asked before, but I plan on building a 383 for my 95. Just wondering what heads I should use and tbi components. Do I have to send my computer somewhere to get reflashed? I'd like to get to the 300 hp mark but not much over so still a milder build.

Vortec heads and GM Performance TBI/Vortec manifold. Or you can use any carb manifold you like that will bolt up to the Vortecs, and use a TBI adapter. The 350 TBI unit will support 300HP, you'll want to look at higher flow injectors and more fuel pressure though.

The best way to tune it would be Moates AutoProm if it's an automatic, EBL if it's a manual. Both DIY tuning, a mail order tune will never get a 300HP TBI 383 to run right. Gearhead EFI has lots of resources for DIY tuning.
