Starter troubles and replacement

Summit and others sell a starter wrap that's similar to a blood pressure tester sleeve. I lost my original bolt on shield many moons ago.. the wrap is easier and much better 360 degree protection.

I never liked starter "wraps" or "blankets". They do as good a job at keeping heat IN as they do keeping heat OUT.

Give me a metal heat-shield with an air-gap any day.

A stock shield for the mini-starter is available from Rockuto last I knew, for only a few dollars. I'm not sure if it's like the original or it's later clip on model.

I just bought one, it was around 7 bucks and change shipped and it is a clip on. But fit mini starter perfectly.
