I dont think i read this right... but are you saying clean the turck after primer? how? you dont take it out and wash it like youd wash your car any other time right....?
after the primer is dry of course just give a good hand wash with say dawn soap or any no wax or silicone soaps . This helps ensure you have no contaminants. You can pressure wash primers and everything some vehicles get in primer and never come out just get reprimed every couple of years.
no like when you block sand you use water the reason i say to wash it again is when your blocking your have what I call primer sludge running down the side of the truck a good wash before it goes in the booth will make sure you have it any dirt or other particals off.Myex cab on the pass side has been in primer since prob October
tools and place to do it? you got a yard don't ya lol. All ya need is a compressor and paint gun and they are cheap. I use a $50 devilbiss came from lowes and my front yard, works fine minus nosey neighbor who call in on ya lol. You can buff the imperfections out afterwards.
and remember most paints have a tack time if it pops after after touching its ready for the next coat if its stringy u need to wait. and also get tack rags they will help get any dust off inbetween coats. always strain ur paint into your gun. And a run is easier to fix then dryspray, and watch ur overlap
