yea lol i love a lot of gear. most i really need to go is 80-85 mph. Its a little different for me though with stock exhaust i dont notice it too much. But with your straights i bet your ears would be ringin

Well actually 4.56's and 35's was before I ever got straits. It wasn't so much exhaust noise I guess, but at that speed it just didn't sound right you know what I mean? Like the engine should not be that loud just cruising at 70 it should shift and drop rpm to below 2gz but yea I understand for someone that doesn't need highway speeds ever it would be a SICK truck haha don't matter if it had a v6 I bet it'd be quick 4.56 and 33's

J have you gotten gears yet??? and mudd grapps have a terrible track record for tire life. Jus sayin, but I'm real big on tire wear after owning my BFG muds for 6 years and they still had 1/4 tread when they came off :D

Oh ight i'd go 4.56 for sure but I dunno you need to look at the ratios of where each style gear will put your RPMs at certain speeds and decide from that :imo: The only other better way is to try each one lol

definately go with 4.88's. I have 4.56 with 30 in tires right now and its just a little too much gear, 4.56 and 33's would be perfect though. 4.88's for 35's. 5.13 or 5.38 for 37-38's imo.

My thoughts exactly! I wish I had gone with 4.88's instead of 4.56's for my 35's. Then again I hardly drive much highway with my truck. On the highway with the 4.56's I run about 2100-2200 rpm for 65mph, leaving lots of power for hills without having to downshift.

Yep like I said 4.56 and 35's was almost not good enough for me on the highway but if you had a dedicated trail rig man taller gears on shorter tires would be so awesome...Also for short races. Who needs a complete engine build when you have 4.88s and 33's lol

Yeah, I went from running 2500rpm@80mph to 3000rpm@70mph. Went with larger gears(3.42-3.55) and less OD(.70-.83)
