.518 - an .050 safety margin is how much?Also forgot to mention. The 0.510" number I mentioned is with the seals fully seated. Will not hurt a thing having them fully seated either. I know of another guy that found the same thing. Then added beehives, retainers and locks and got to 0.600" clearance.

I have swapped several to 787 retainers and beehives. Clearance to run over .550 lift. Have yet to pull out or break a press in stud either. I had one with over 380 lbs open spring pressure running .554 lift that shifted at 6,500 rpm too..510 lift and heavier springs should have a trip to the machine shop for clearance.
