Hello Everyone.

Has anyone here had luck in reworking the standard control unit. Mine is acting all "wonkie" and they are expensive to replace if you can find one at all. Hoping somebody might know how to locate a schematic.

I have a 90 Chevrolet SS454 I am working on.

Thank you for your time,

Fred

Hmm, that would be interesting . I haven't heard of anyone doing it but how hard could it be. A good contact cleaner like "DeOxit" might be a good place to start. Dirty switch contacts and oxidized "sliders" could cause a controller to be pretty squirreley. Let us know how you come out and welcome to the forum.

When I had my 93 WT, I got an AC control mod unit @ the junk yard. I keep that truck for 10 years, and put over 150,000 miles, on it, and had no more issues with the AC control mod. That truck had about 125,000 miles on the clock when I bought it in 1999. Best $3200 I ever spent buying that truck.
