My good ol' 2000 C3500 still has the stock 16" steel wheels. I recently bought 5 new tires for it at Costco (the original spare didn't look too healthy), and while the tire tech was installing them, he showed me that the backs of the plastic hub caps are all cracking around the bolt holes. That style hub cap seem to be yet another pricey thing to find new:

Rather than spending about $400 on a set of new hubcaps, maybe I should shop for a set of new wheels instead. Any suggestions on a nice stock-size 8-lug wheel? Since I spent about $1,000 on the five new Michelins, I'd rather keep 'em for now.

Of course buying used hub caps on eBay is always an option, I found chrome ones going for $19.99 each, but who knows how brittle they are and how long it'd take for them to start cracking like mine?
